An important message to our Extension families,
The Extension Advisory Committee has scheduled this meeting to advise clientele about the steps necessary to obtain an Extension/Experiment Station Service District in the fall of 2014. While this has been discussed many times in the past, the time has come to act.
This is an important step toward long term sustainability of our research and extension programs and follows Jackson County's Budget Commettee proposal to ELIMINATE THE ENTIRE EXTENSION AND
EXPERIMENT STATION BUDGET for the next fiscal year.
IMPACT STATEMENT
If this proposal is accepted by the commissioners, there will be NO funding for Extension programs (4-H Youth Development, Family Food Educator Volunteer, Master Gardeners, Forestry, SmallFarms, Land Steward Program, Viticulture, and more.)
